Engagement Manager (US - Remote)

What You’ll Do at Astrodata

Agile Facilitation & Team Operations

  • Organize and facilitate daily standup meetings to ensure alignment, focus, and clear work distribution across the team.

  • Support accurate story point estimation and capacity planning, including the creation of user stories and tasks, and defining acceptance criteria for scoped work efforts

  • Monitor workload balance and ensure effective utilization of team resources.

Delivery Tracking & Reporting

  • Document progress, risks, and blockers through structured weekly reporting, and work with delivering teams to generate stakeholder-facing reports on Astrodata delivery

  • Lead weekly stakeholder meetings to communicate status, milestones, and delivery updates.

  • Ensure delivery transparency across Astrodata leadership and client stakeholders.

Blocker Management & Escalation

  • Proactively identify delivery risks and remove obstacles, as well as opportunities within our engagements to improve on velocity, and identify opportunities with clients to get more value from our work with them

  • Ensure timely and appropriate escalation when team members become blocked.

  • Partner with architects and technical leads to surface systemic delivery challenges.

JIRA & Workflow Governance

  • Manage epics, stories, and tasks within JIRA.

  • Ensure tickets are accurately staged and reflect the real-time state of work.

  • Maintain workflow hygiene to support reporting, forecasting, and velocity tracking.

Strategic Delivery Alignment

  • Collaborate with solution architects to anchor delivery in business objectives and data practice OKRs.

  • Facilitate high-velocity pipeline development and data use case delivery.

  • Align team execution with client priorities and strategic roadmap objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, engagement management, or delivery leadership within a data, analytics, or technology consultancy.

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience managing JIRA boards and agile workflows.

  • Experience working in client-facing environments with executive stakeholders.

  • Ability to translate technical progress into business-relevant updates.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience supporting healthcare organizations or health technology companies.

  • Familiarity with data engineering, BI, analytics, or modern data stack environments.

  • Experience aligning technical delivery with OKRs and strategic initiatives.
